Message From Chairperson:

I had the pleasure of attending our Academy and multiple games of Ballyoulster teams over the weekend.

This was across all age groups of our football pathway.

Boys and girls, from four years of age through to seniors.

Competitive games and non competitive games.

And three things stood out:

-Work ethic

-Coaching ethos.

-These friendships start forming from Academy, through to U18s and onwards to Seniors.
And are far more valuable than cups or medals.

-The work ethic from coaches, players and parents is something to be admired.

Everyone keeps turning up for training and games, irrespective of results. While also giving their best effort.

-And the coaching ethos must be applauded. Not once did I hear a coach raise their voice except to support or encourage.

It’s an ethos in sync with best practice so children can develop and gain confidence.

And it’s an ethos that’s very hard to achieve at a club the size of Ballyoulster FC.

In fact I would say this club has something special.

And we’ve an opportunity to make it even more special:

Three weeks ago we purchased more land and we have ambitious plans .

Plans that could have massive benefits for the community, children, and young people.. for years to come.

But we need as much help as possible to achieve these plans.

In the coming weeks we will be sharing these plans and will need the help of as many as possible - so the community, children and young people continue to gain the many benefits of Ballyoulster FC.

In the meantime, you could start to make a difference straight away by contributing to our monthly draw (link at bottom)

And finally thanks to all the volunteers who continue to make it a great club.
